Sage von Sebnitz is an adorable 2 year old Shepherd mix. With his bright eyes, floppy ears and long legs, Sage is just the cutest guy on the block. He came to us with a collar embedded in his neck, requiring surgery to remove it. Sage perks up in the company of other friendly dogs and likes to have them as a walking companion. He currently lives in a home with two small dogs and, although he is much bigger, he never uses his size to push them around. He walks extremely well on leash and knows how to heel, so he wonders why the small dogs in the home like to charge ahead. Sage is mellow and still getting used to city life. He is very submissive to people and, with a patient handler, might even smile a little or increase the pace of his long-legged trots. He is extremely quiet and only barks when he is playing excitedly. He loves getting his belly rubbed and kisses your hand to thank you. Sage is extremely gentle and impossible not to fall in love with. In his playgroups, Sage takes a while to open up but is great with dogs of all temperaments. He might try to escape the yard in the beginning so would require higher fences or constant supervision. We can’t wait for the day where Sage is galloping around his own yard with a big goofy grin on his face. This sweetheart deserves all that and more.
